| Description: | For our February meeting, the adult book group will discuss Isabel Wilkerson’s newest work, Caste: The Origins of our Discontents. With meticulous research and narratives, Wilkerson explores the hierarchy of caste – which groups have power and which do not. Linking the caste systems of the United States, India, and Nazi Germany, Wilkerson discusses the cruel logic of a cast system. Wilkerson had previously been honored with numerous literary awards for her narrative of reconstruction and migration in The Warmth of Other Suns.
