Title: Paul Revere: The Man, The Myth
Contact: ,
Location: Zoom
Description: Most people know Paul Revere for his famous ride to Lexington on the night of April 19, 1775.  Revere’s life, however, was a long and productive one, involving industry, politics, and community service.  Henry Wadsworth Longfellow ’s poem, “Paul Revere’s Ride", written in 1860, transformed Paul Revere from a relatively obscure, although locally known figure into a national folk hero, but how much about Paul Revere and the Midnight Ride is fact, and how much is fiction?

Find the answers in this collaborative program led by Robert Shimp, Research and Adult Program Director for the Paul Revere Memorial Association and Michael Maler, Metro-Boston Regional Site Administrator for Historic New England.

The library would like to thank the Friends of the Hampton Falls Free Library for sponsoring this program.

The program will be a virtual, Zoom program. You do not need an app to participate. Click here to sign up and receive the Zoom link. Free and open to the public.
