Hampton Falls Free Library Event Calendar
|Time:||7:00 PM - 8:00 PM|
|Title:||Adult Book Club|
|Description:||On Thursday April 29th at 7pm, the Adult Book Club will meet to discuss Ernest Hemingway’s A Moveable Feast. Published posthumously, this book narrates Hemingway’s years in Paris, his relationship with his first wife, and his relationships with other members of the “lost generation” including Gertrude Stein, Ezra Pound, James Joyce, and F. Scott Fitzgerald. For those who want to read further into Hemingway’s life, the library will also obtain copies of Love and Ruin and The Paris Wife by Paula McLain which are historical fictions based on Hemingway’s marriages. In April, PBS will air a Kens Burns documentary on the work and life of Hemingway.
Open to all. Copies of the books will be available at the library. Our meetings will occur over Zoom. For more information and to request the Zoom link, call 926-3682 or email the library.
