Exhibit available for viewing during Library open hours in November and December

A 30-year resident Hampton Falls, Jean Chase Farnum is a juried member of the NHAA exhibiting at the Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery in Portsmouth, NH. She also exhibits yearly during the summers in the Sheafe Warehouse in Prescott Park and the League of NH Craftsmen Fair in Sunapee, NH. Although she has enjoyed displaying a number of different images and projects over her tenure as a photographer, nocturnal photography has been an enthusiastic passion of hers over the past decade. Jean finds photographing the night challenging –sometimes daunting – but always captivating. Long night exposures of the sky and the landscape below can often reveal surprising results. Nocturnal photography not only discloses a landscape’s serenity but also depicts the small details of a star while extending to the sheer vastness of what lies beyond.
